New York City is the perfect city for any sports fan. There are a variety of spectator sports to chose from. New York City’s most popular professional sport is baseball. Baseball is so popular that New York City currently has two baseball teams: the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. New York City’s basketball team, the New York Knicks have not won a title for a very long time but still remain quite popular. New York City also has a female professional basketball team known as the New York Liberty. An additional basketball team will soon be coming to New York City when the New Jersey nets move to Brooklyn. If you are a fan of hockey, then you can catch the New York Rangers as well as the New York Islanders on ice. And if you happen to love football, then you have the choice of two fantastic New York City teams: the New York Giants as well as the New York Jets.
